After thinking about it a lot, Alvaro has informed us that he will not be able to continue dedicating time to the project. He needs to make money, as it is normal, and the work he does involves a 40-hour day, making the BTB project too much of an effort on his personal time.
He has committed to help us with the relay once we find a new programmer, so that he can explain those aspects of the code that may need it, and considering that he only recently learned Unity, it must be said that he has done an amazing job, which we hope to be able to compensate him in the future when we have financial resources.
The iterations we have gone through have been many, and with his help we have been able to establish a good main skeleton by publishing a well functioning pre-alpha that includes:
• A complete user interface
• A non-interactive tutorial
• The possibility to play with multiple players locally with both keyboard and controller
• A first level of developed mechanics
• Sound implementation
• 3 Languages – Catalan, Spanish and English
The most certain thing is that we will have to continue making changes to these sections, but it is clear that without this initial structure it would be very difficult to visualize the project.
We are very grateful for your efforts Alvaro and we will miss you at the weekly meetings!
